School Tours for Reception Starters 2025
We are pleased to be able to offer dates throughout the Autumn Term 2024, for prospective new families to come and explore all that our wonderful school has to offer. We will be offering tours of our school on the following dates and times:
Monday 7th October 2024
Thursday 10th October 2024
Monday 14th October 2024
Tuesday 5th November 2024
9.30-11.30 & 13.30-14.30.
Please contact the school office at office@slindonprimary.co.uk or call us on 01243 814330 to book a place on one of our tours. If these times are not convenient, we will endeavour to find an alternative date and time.
Information about how to make an application and a link to the online admissions system will be available from 9.00am on Tuesday 1st October 2024. The deadline for applications is Saturday 11th January 2025.

Is Slindon my local school?
Our school serves a large rural area, which includes the villages of Slindon and Eartham. For this reason there is a school bus which transports some children to and from school each day.
Do you take children from outside your area?
Yes. About 50% of the children at the school live in the Parish of Slindon, Eartham and Madehurst, whilst the remaining children travel from as far as Chichester, Bognor and Littlehampton.
Can I come and look around the school?
With pleasure. Please ring the school to make an appointment.
When can my child start school?
Children in West Sussex may start school at the beginning of the school year in which they reach their fifth birthday. Admission to school is co-ordinated by the West Sussex County Council Admissions Team.

My child isn’t due to start school for a few years: can I put his/her name on the waiting list?
In the September before your child is due to start school you will be sent information explaining the process. If you do not receive this information you should contact the West Sussex County Council Admission Team.
